Israel’s Aviation law applies to all flights to and from Israel including Stopovers (on contiguous flights with the same airline).

Stopovers – A stay at an interim destination, for 24 hours at most, for a connecting flight to the Final Destination.

Compensation is due:

• For an 8+ hour delay
• For a flight cancelled (with notice less than 14 days before the date of the flight)
• Denied boarding situation
• Your flight time has been made earlier

Statutory compensation rates:

1. NIS 1,440 in respect to flights of 2000 km or less; or
2. NIS 2,310 in respect to flights between 2000 km and 4500 km; or
3. NIS 3,460 in respect to all flights over 4500 km

Time limitation to pursue your claim:  Four years from the date of the flight.
