The EU Aviation law applies to a flight:
- Operated by an EU airline
- Operated by any airline and departs from an EU airport
Compensation is due:
- For a 3+ hour delay
- For a flight cancelled (less than 14 days before the date of the flight)
- Denied boarding situation
Compensation | Flight distance |
250 euros | 1500km or less |
400 euros | more than 1500km within the Community |
400 euros | between 1500km and 3500km |
600 euros | all other flights |
Time limitation to pursue your claim: This depends on national law in each European country and will therefore vary throughout the EU (ranges from 1 yr to 10 yrs).
